Award Winning NYC Theater Actor Exhibits Artwork in Premier Family Collective.
Family of artists unites as the NYC Philippine Center Gallery celebrates the diverse works of two dynamic painters. Artworks about reflection, love, and devotion will be on display in this compelling month long art exhibit.
The expressionists art of Filipino artist Emilia A. Monroy is her outpouring of praise to the Divine Artist. Using her fingers to directly communicate her deepest feelings into canvas, her paintings vibrate with breathtaking emotion and life.
Las Mujeres de Mi Vida is an exhibition of 10 medium to large-sized oil paintings. As the title suggests, the exhibition is loosely based on and illuminated by the woman in my life : my recently widowed mother, my great grand auntie, sisters, cousins and friends. I took my impressions of (and fascinations with) these woman and transported them to a different age, the late Spanish and early American periods of our country’s history.
