He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Santo Tomas, where he studied under the masters Galo Ocampo and Cenon Rivera. In 1976 he studied printmaking at the School of Visual Arts in New York in and commercial lithography in Cleveland. He is best known for his reductive and minimal style in serigraphy, lacquer aerosol paintings, cast paper, and digital prints. He won art awards from the CCP, and from the AAP. He exhibited his paintings, serigraphs and paperwork in galleries in the Philippines, Japan, South America, Europe and the United States. He owns Arts & Books Gallery, a mainstream gallery in L.A. area in California where he lives.
