He was a painter, sculptor and graphic designer; he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 1951. He studied at the Art Students League in New York in 1953. He held his first solo exhibit at the PAG in 1954, then at the Mitsukoshi Art Gallery in Tokyo. An Avid experimenter and versatile craftsman, he worked in a wide variety of styles and media: from primitive inspiration of masks on hardwood, relief of found objects, figurative and abstract oils and acrylics, linear sculptures using rods, pipes, and mixed media using plexiglass sheets. He held several exhibits at the Luz Gallery. He represented the Philippines in Sculpture category at the Sao Paolo Biennale in Brazil in 1967, 1971 and 1980, and the Biennale de Arts Graphiques, in Brno, Czechoslovakia in 1972. His work was represented at the Yayasan Dharma Seni Museum Neka, Bali, Indonesia in 1980.
