He was a scholar of the Saturday Art Group from 1987 to 1989, and of the Pilipinas Shell in 1990. He won Second Prize at the Shell NSAC in 1989. He was a finalist at the Metrobank Art Competitions from 1987 to 1989. He held a solo show “Light and Shadow” of paintings at the Philippine Center in 2006. Among his group shows were the Juried Hudson Artists Group Show in New Jersey in 2004, the City gallery in Manila in 1989, and the USSR Embassy in Manila in 1989.
