He held his first solo exhibition at the Northern Motors Showroom in 1966. He represented the Philippines at the Sixth Paris Biennale in 1969. He is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor. He introduce the combined use of aluminum with wood and plexiglass in a series of innovative sculptures. He won First Prize for “Perspectus” in 1967, and a major award for “Allegory in Aluminum” in 1968 from the AAP. He won Fourth Prize for “Variety No. 1” and Certificate of Merit for “The Final Agony” from Shell NSAC in 1966. He was one of the recipients of the CCP Thirteen Artists Award in 1970.
