In 1957, he won First Prize at the Bureau of Travel and Trade Industry Painting Competition. He learned painting in oil and watercolor under Vincente Manansala in the sixties. In the seventies, Goy studied the work of Andrew Wyeth, which influenced him to paint in hyperrealism. He held his first solo exhibit at the Hidalgo Gallery in 1972. He has held several solo and group exhibitions at the Galerie Bleau, the Finale Art File, and the West Gallery. In 2010 he participated in the exhibit “Full Circle Moving Through Generations” at the Yuchengco Museum.
