SPAA 2023


Society of Philippine-American Artists holds “Best of the Year” at the Philippine Center, NYC, the two-week exhibition is on October 30, 2023 to November 10, 2023 at the Philippine Center, 556 Fifth Avenue New York, NY 10036. The exhibit will be open Monday through Friday, 9AM-5PM. The Artist’s Reception is by invitation and will be on October 30, 2023 from 6PM to 8PM

The Society of Philippine-American Artists (SPAA), founded in 1995 by a group of Filipino proponents of Philippine art and culture headed by Manuel “Mang Maning” Rodriguez, Sr. the “Father of Philippine Printmaking”, remains a strong advocate for Filipino American artists in North America in their professional growth in the visual arts by providing opportunities to grow in skills and stature through the activities of the society, particularly through its annual exhibits.

In the 28th year of its existence, this year’s exhibit, “Best of the Year” highlights twenty-one artists and their best works from 2022 and 2023, delving into representational and non-representational works in various media such as oil and acrylic, pastels, pencil and ink, watercolor, printmaking, and photography.

The artists presenting this year are Ameurfina H Nazario, Anna Seminara, Athena Magcase-Lopez, Aurora Caparas-Corpus, Carlos Esguerra, Carol Tanjutco, Celso Pepito, Chato Morando, Cheryle Cranbourne, Chito Maravilla, Dahlia Rogers, Dulcie Dee, Lenore RS Lim, Lorina Capitulo, Marcelino Rodriguez, Mayo Landicho, Mirinisa H Myers, Rene Ner, Robert Perez De Tagle, Ronald Cortez, and Tessie Dichupa.
